Bayside performed lead and asbestos abatement services of interior and exterior structures, and roof and window demolition and replacement at Building 801. Work performed included sample collection, asbestos abatement, lead abatement and encapsulation. Lead and asbestos areas to be addressed generally included piping, ceilings, overhead structures, walls, floors, doors, window and door trims, and included metal and wood surfaces. Lead-based paint (LBP) abatement consisted of the removal of loose or flaking LBP and subsequent application of a primer and encapsulate to reduce exposure risk to area personnel. Asbestos abatement included removal of all suspected asbestos-containing material (ACM) from areas including pipe insulation and roofing panels.
