Bayside has been contracted by Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Southwest and NAVFAC Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) Program Management Office (PMO) West for the O&M of multiple groundwater extraction systems at both installations, including repairs to the treatment systems and extraction wells, granular activated carbon (GAC) changeouts, and monitoring of the groundwater plume. Bayside also provides technical support to ERRG, including capture analysis of the groundwater extraction wells, loading analysis of GAC, document preparation, and evaluation of the effectiveness of the remedy at each site and whether remedial action objectives are being achieved. In addition, Bayside provides compliance and monitoring support to an existing landfill within Former MCAS Tustin, and vapor intrusion investigation support for IRP Sites 16 and 24 at Former MCAS El Toro.
