Bayside employees supported the Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southwest’s Time-Critical Removal Action at Former Marine Corps Air Station El Toro, California. The Project includes sampling munitions constituents, excavation and mechanical screening of the Project’s top 12 inches of soil, digital geophysical mapping of the excavated areas, subsurface clearance of identified targets, and backfill of excavated areas with screened soil. Bayside associates provided more than $250,000 of biological surveys for special status species (rare plants, nesting birds, Coastal California Gnatcatcher, and Least Bell's Vireo), compliance monitoring, reporting, and native habitat restoration planning and implementation services.
